While working at Moss Motors, I became good friends with Ken and Barby Smith. Ken, aka Mr. MGB, had received this copy of John Sprinzel's book back in 2005, and John personalized it with the inscription, "Proves I'm still alive!" Sadly, neither John nor Ken can claim that anymore. Ken gifted me the book and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I'd been fortunate to work with Mr. Sprinzel on a few articles for the Moss Motoring magazine and chatted with him several times about our shared love for sailing. If you're reading this and were/are a Moss Motors customer and are wondering how an ex employee can ask $400 for a car book... well, let's just say Moss wasn't known for making its employees very wealthy, even those of us who were there for a long, long time. And... this is a fairly rare and precious book. A few years ago it was selling for $550. But, I know the LBC hobby is changing. I suspect my asking price may go down in time. Regardless, this book is a delightful piece of history. Some collector is going to enjoy it immensely. If you're looking at this listing, you likely know what the book is about.
