Original 1903 bound volume of Le Frou-Frou, the famous French Belle Époque illustrated humor and art magazine. Marked “1903 – 2e Semestre” (second semester/second half of 1903) with original 6 Francs price. Contains numerous period French illustrations, cartoons, humorous stories and risqué Belle Époque artwork, including “Contes Inédits du Frou-Frou” illustrated story supplements. An interesting surviving bound collection of this early Parisian publication. Condition is poor/fair and should be considered a reading/reference or restoration copy. The binding is heavily worn with deterioration and separation, and there are loose/detached sections, edge wear, tears, toning, staining and other age-related wear.
