Vintage lot of four illustrated Chinese-language children’s educational books from Taiwan, dating to the 1960s. Includes three volumes of 幼稚園讀本 (Kindergarten Reader), Volumes 1, 2 and 4, published by 新民教育社 in Taipei. These volumes are dated Republic of China Year 54, corresponding to 1965. Also included is 看圖識字 Volume 3, an illustrated early-learning/picture vocabulary reader. Books feature wonderful colorful mid-century illustrations covering family members, household objects, foods, animals, outdoor activities and other basic childhood vocabulary. Excellent examples of vintage Taiwanese children’s educational publishing and graphic design. Vintage used condition with age-related toning, spotting/foxing, edge and corner wear and other normal signs of age and use. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition. Includes the exact four books shown.
