VINTAGE VIBE MAGAZINE — NOVEMBER 1996 — TUPAC SHAKUR MEMORIAL/TRIBUTE ISSUE A powerful piece of 1990s hip-hop history featuring Tupac Amaru Shakur (1971–1996) on the cover. This is the November 1996 issue of VIBE Magazine, published immediately after Tupac's September 1996 death. The issue became one of VIBE's important early memorials to an artist the magazine had extensively documented during his career. The striking black-and-white cover simply reads: “TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR 1971–1996” Inside is an extensive Tupac tribute section featuring photographs, reporting, memories from friends and peers, commentary on his life and final days, and a reproduction of his poem “In the Event of My Demise.” One particularly historic image in this copy accompanies the article “Ready to Die” and shows Tupac in the passenger seat of a car on Las Vegas Boulevard shortly before the shooting that ultimately claimed his life. The magazine also includes a New Edition reunion feature, along with additional coverage of artists including Maxwell, MC Lyte, Ghost Town DJ's, The Roots and Blackstreet. For collectors of Tupac, Death Row-era hip-hop, VIBE Magazine and 1990s Black music culture, this is a compelling original-period publication—not a modern reproduction. ⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT CONDITION INFORMATION — PLEASE READ THIS COPY IS IN POOR/HEAVILY WORN COVER CONDITION.
