Los Angeles: Shottlebop Press, 1983. First Edition. Wraps. Near fine. Privately printed pamphlet for presentation only, signed by Ray Bradbury on the front cover. The first publication of this Halloween poem, which Bradbury (1920-2012) started writing when he was 19 and recorded by Walt Daugherty around 1940. The poem was included in the Shangri La Record, a multiple recording program sent to science fiction clubs active at the time. Years later, the original wax-covered record resurfaced in the Forrest Ackerman archive, and was transcribed by Daugherty and his wife, Mary Ellen, who convinced Bradbury to allow them to publish it. Octavo: [12] pp. with textual illustrations. Original printed canary paper wrappers, bound with two staples. Just a hint of edgewear; else fine.
