This is one very rare Australian comic as shown in the pictures supplied. This is a standard size edition with 24 pages in black and white print. Item Description Up for auction is a rare piece of Australian comic history: Brenda #17, published by Atlas Publications in March 1953 as part of their famous "World Famous Series" line. This issue represents a highly desirable era for Australian comic collectors. While early issues of this title reprinted American material, this book features completely original, Australian produced stories written and drawn by legendary artist Yaroslav Horak (signing under his early pseudonym, Larry Horak). Horak went on to international acclaim as the long-running artist for the syndicated daily James Bond newspaper strips. The comic will be sent within the protective comic sleeve and special backing board as shown in the 1st picture supplied. The comic will be shipped with additional cardboard to protect it.
