No. 3, Whole Number 2016, Volume 126. Cover features include: • The best-looking fashion and beauty in Paris, Rome, London and New York • Hypnosis – what it can do for you • Ready-to-buy sweaters • Best jersey dressing • Shining new Ciré The issue is especially notable for its fashion photography, including substantial work by David Bailey, with striking international fashion spreads featuring models including Marisa Berenson and Penelope Tree. Barry Lategan photography includes Jean Shrimpton, while the contents also feature Henri Cartier-Bresson and Man Ray in “Spotlight on the Artist in Camera”. An exceptionally visual issue throughout, with vivid late-1960s fashion, beauty and advertising. Particularly impressive surviving advertisements include an extensive multi-panel Wills fold-out and a large Terlenka fold-out, alongside period advertising for Aquascutum, Daks and others. The magazine presents very well overall for its age, with a sound spine and strong, clean and vibrant interior photography. There is some general light handling and age-related wear to the covers and edges. The large Terlenka fold-out has a tear with a small area of paper loss at one edge, as shown.
