Fantastic consecutive five-issue Silver Age Batman run featuring Batman #164, #165, #166, #167 and #168, all published by DC Comics in 1964. A particularly attractive group of early 1960s Batman comics with strong colour, excellent classic cover artwork and very good overall eye appeal for books now over 60 years old. Batman #164 is an important issue in Batman history and marks the first New Look issue of the main Batman title during Julius Schwartz's influential editorial period. Batman #165 features the first appearance of Patricia Powell, who becomes involved with Batman through her father, Detective Mike Powell. Batman #167 contains the book-length “Zero Hour for Earth!” spy thriller written by legendary Batman co-creator Bill Finger, sending Batman and Robin around the world as they battle an international criminal organisation and attempt to prevent nuclear war. Batman #168 features the first appearance of Mr. Mammoth in “The Fight That Jolted Gotham City!” The five comics present consistently well and sit approximately in the Fine range overall.
