This is one of three complete collections of The History of Alpha Phi Alpha A Development In (Negro) College Life. It is a total of 22 individual booksrepresenting the years: 1929, 1935, 1939, 1942, 1948, 1950, 1953, 1957, 1959, 1961, 1969, 1975, 1979, 1981, 1991, 1996, 2000, 2000 Limited Edition, 2008, 2008 Limited Edition & 2014 Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Several are signed by previous owners and/or members of the fraternity. The first edition, from 1929, has a duplicate dust jacket copied fron an original, that was discontinued after the first year, due to orgnizational objections to the colors used. The 1939 edition is signed by James Huger, past executive secretary, who was initiated that same year and who was 100 years old when he autographed the book. Each is the complete book with no missing pages and in their original book binding. All are in good to excellent condition.
