Journey to Shiloh by Will Henry, published by Random House in 1960. This is the stated First Edition, First Printing hardcover with the original illustrated dust jacket. Set during the Civil War, the novel follows seven inexperienced Confederate recruits from Texas—the Concho County Comanches—as they travel east seeking military glory and ultimately confront the brutality of the Battle of Shiloh. The novel was adapted into the 1968 motion picture starring James Caan, Michael Sarrazin and Harrison Ford. Dust jacket artwork is by noted designer Paul Bacon.
