It was published by the Unsodo publishing house, renowned for its high level of woodblock cutting and printing. We have traced only one copy in the UK, in the British Museum.Tanigami Konan (1879-1928) was a textile artist and designer who co-founded the Osaka Designer's Association in 1925. During the early 20th century the importation of western plants and flowers to Japan grew in scale and these new varieties became increasingly popular across the country. The examples illustrated in this set include daffodils, tulips, poppies, hyacinths, and roses.
