Beachcroft was a short story writer whom Eliot often published in The Criterion.Marina was number 29 in Faber's Ariel series. The first series (1927-1931) saw 38 poems published, each with an illustration by a contemporary artist. Kauffer, "The poster king", was a pioneering graphic designer of the interwar period.
