Best known author, naturalist and nature photographer who wrote novels set in natural environments. “The Keeper of the Bees” follows a wounded warrior who finds healing through nature. He becomes the caretaker of a bee master and finds purpose and hope for the future through the community and caring for the bees. “A Girl of the Limberlost” follows a young girl growing up in the swamp who endures cruelty from her mother and scorn from her classmates. She finds solace, personal growth, and perseverance through nature. Overall condition fair with spine loss; green and blue cloth cover/spines with black/red stamping and pictorial cover. Extensive edgewear and worn from use and age with tanning and foxing. Boards intact with cracked hinges. Corners bumped. Front and Back Free Endpapers intact with pencil notations in both books.
