AGATHA CHRISTIE - MURDER IN MESOPOTAMIA, published by Dodd Mead, copyright 1935 (U.K. copyright) & 1936 (U.S. copyright), First Printing (no references to subsequent printings on copyright page - there was never a 2nd Dodd Mead printing), red badge ad to left of title page, lists to "The A.B.C. Murders" on pre-title page, off-white endpapers, aquamarine cloth boards with dark blue lettering to spine and front panel. Book has no creased page corners (usual light foxing-like lines to certain gathered pages - found with ALL copies of this book), no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers, hint of dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges (no foxing), illustrated portion of the original dust jacket front panel has been attached to ffe otherwise clean endpapers with no soiling or staining (couple of tiny glue discoloration at rear internal hinge and evidence of removed bookplate to inside front board), no splitting to internal hinges (common defect with these early "thick" Dodd Mead books), no spine lean, no wear to board edges, hint of wear to board corners, slight wear to spine tips, slight spine sun darkening (common defect with this book), no rubbing to spine lettering, almost no handling/dust soiling to boards, no soiling or discoloration to boards, no bumped board corners. Book also comes with a color facsimile of the scarce Dodd Mead DJ to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf. Overall
