Original artwork for the Rupert Annual: "Rupert and the Ice Skates: Rupert Sees the Boots Shrink". This set-up was reproduced in the 1979 Rupert Annual on p. 79, featuring Rupert, Bingo, Lily, Tigerlily, and the Conjururer. The acetate provides the printed black lines of the illustration with original watercolour added to artist's board. The colouring is likely to have been the work of John Harrold.Jenny Kisler (1935-2020) was one of Alfred Bestall's successors as a Rupert Bear illustrator. Her first story was "Rupert and the Secret Shell" in 1965, and, soon afterwards the Christmas story "Rupert and the Ice Skates", published in 59 parts in the Daily Express between 2 December 1965 and 10 February 1966 in black and white. The colour version appears on pp. 58-87 of the 1979 Rupert Annual.
