A fascinating vintage book lot for collectors of card games, magic, games, and history. This lot includes three vintage books, featuring two Hoyle titles along with the much older 1903 Howard Thurston book on card tricks. 1. Hoyle — A Complete Book of Games Approximate Size 7 .5 “ tall X 5” wide Green-covered edition featuring games and including the new Contract Bridge rules and scoring. The first page states that it has been revised to date. Condition is fair vintage condition, with yellowing/toning to all the pages consistent with age and an intact, secure binding. There is no writing or markings on any interior pages. Discoloration on front and back cover and dog eared. Shows normal vintage wear throughout. 2. Hoyles Rules Of Games Approximate Size 7” tall X 4.25” wide Condition on this book is fair condition . The first page states 47th printing. This vintage volume shows yellowing/toning to all the pages and general age-related wear. The spine/binding remains tight and intact. All edges and of cover and back show wear and surface creases. No marking or writing on any interior surfaces or pages. 3. Howard Thurston's Tricks With Cards — 1903 Approximate Size 7.75” tall X 5” wide A particularly interesting early volume for collectors of magic and card-trick history. Published in 1903. This book is in poor antique condition, and the condition should be noted carefully: the spine remains intact, but the cover and spine covering are torn/damaged, and the back cover is missing
