The Fight by William Hazlitt, Privately Printed in 1928. Soft cover. The last page states: "This edition on Strathmore paper is limited to 400 copies. This is Number 21." "The Fight" was William Hazlitt's (1778-1830) most famous essay and a vivid account of a fight between William Neate and Thomas Hickman in Hungerford, Berkshire on the 11th of December 1821. The half-title page of the book states: "A Holiday Greeting for the Friends of Alva and Bernard F. Gimbel. Bernard F. Gimbel (1885-1966) was president of Gimbel's Department Store and Alva Bernheimer Gimbel (1893-1983) was a philanthropist. Edition: Copyright page states: "Privately Printed, New York, 1928" Condition: Book is in very good condition. Binding is square and tight. Page block separated from cover. Pages are lightly toned and clean with no markings. Cover is clean with fading at the edges, chips/loss at the top and bottom of the spine, and a 3/4 inch closed tear at the bottom of the spine.
