Love Poems (Tentative Title). First edition, one of 500 copies only, of the author's last lifetime poetry collection, published the year before his death. The work includes "Having a Coke With You" and other verses inspired by the poet's love for the young ballet dancer Vincent Warren, whom he met in 1959.O'Hara, whose posthumous volume of collected verse won a National Book Award in 1972, "sought to capture in his poetry the immediacy of life, feeling that poetry should be 'between two persons instead of two pages'. He was inspired and energized by New York City as other poets have been inspired and energized by nature" (ANB).
