Yukimasa Ida is a Japanese contemporary artist known for powerful paintings exploring encounters, memory, and the passing of time. This is the official catalogue for his major exhibition PANTA RHEI, a title referring to the idea that “everything flows” and nothing remains unchanged. Among the works, I especially love his End of Today series, improvised paintings made at the end of each day. Each feels like a ritual: a gathering of that day’s inspiration and proof that he lived through it. Seen together, they become an intense visual diary that only Ida could make.
