An authentic original vintage post-WWII Allied Occupation of Japan (c. 1945–1952) hand-painted pure silk scarf / textile, brought home by an American serviceman. Showcasing vivid watercolor brushwork and iconic Japanese landscape artistry on soft natural cream habotai silk, this fine vintage piece features: 1. HAND-PAINTED JAPANESE LANDSCAPE: - Mount Fuji & Pagoda: Features a towering snow-capped Mount Fuji rising behind a multi-tiered pagoda temple tower in brilliant vermilion red, apple green, and lavender-purple roof eaves. - Sakura & Pines: Framed by cascading clusters of blooming magenta cherry blossoms, evergreen pine forests, and mountain rivers. - Fine Habotai Silk: Semi-sheer, lightweight natural silk finished with neat machine-hemmed rolled borders. 2.
