Incredible Hulk #3 from 1962, an important early Silver Age Marvel key and only the third issue of the Hulk's original six-issue series. Original UK 9d pence price variant. A very attractive presenting copy for its age, with strong yellow and orange cover colours and excellent classic Jack Kirby artwork. The central Hulk image remains particularly strong and gives the comic very good display appeal. This is an important early Hulk issue featuring the first appearance of the Ringmaster and the early Circus of Crime, alongside major early developments involving Hulk, Bruce Banner and Rick Jones. Condition: I estimate the comic at approximately 4.0 VG raw using CGC-style grading principles. The comic has already been professionally cleaned and pressed. The front cover retains strong colour and presents very well overall. There is general age-related spine wear, edge wear, corner wear and colour-breaking creasing. The main condition issue is concentrated around the lower-right section of the front cover. This area has a network of fine colour-breaking creases/surface fractures together with localised brown/grey staining or discolouration, surface abrasion and edge wear. The exact cause of the staining is unknown. It may be from historic moisture or handling, but I cannot confirm this from appearance alone. I have therefore photographed the area clearly so buyers can assess it themselves. I do not see obvious glue or tape repair in this area. There is also a small handwritten nota
