The Incredible Hulk #4, Marvel Comics, 1962 Original Silver Age 9d UK price version from the legendary first six-issue Incredible Hulk series. A highly collectible early Hulk issue featuring the first appearance of Mongu / Boris Monguski, with classic Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers work. This is an attractive lower-grade example of a very difficult early Hulk issue. The cover retains strong colours and displays extremely well considering its age, with the classic split-panel Hulk artwork remaining bold and immediately recognisable. Condition: Estimated raw grade around 3.0-3.5 VG The comic shows general age and handling wear including numerous colour-breaking cover creases, particularly across the right side and Hulk image, spine and edge wear, rounded corners, surface wear and several small edge tears/nicks. The rear cover has further creasing, age-related soiling, edge wear and small areas of chipping around the lower edge. There is also a small blue ink/date-style notation beneath the issue number on the front cover. Despite these defects, this remains a very presentable copy with strong overall colour and excellent display appeal for an original 1962 Hulk.
