John Milton’s Paradise Lost - Alta Edition.

by John Milton

$150 · Offered by eBay

The epic poem by Milton is a retelling of the story of Adam and Eve from the biblical book of Genesis which describes the creation of Heaven and Earth and of Adam and Eve. This poem fleshes out this story and imagines the couple's reactions to the events that led to them being expelled from the Garden of Eden (or Paradise). It asks the question of free will or predestination, or whether or not humans make their own choices or are fated. No collection is complete without this beautiful piece of English literature. This rare Antique Book is in very good condition overall for being many years old. The front and rear hinges are worn a bit, the end bands have some wear but are in tact. There are some markings from the library that possessed it for many years. The check out card and sleeve still reside in the rear paste down. This book was acquired at a tent sale at the Moscow fair, in Moscow Pennsylvania over twenty years ago now we would like to see it adorn the shelves of another loving home. This beautiful piece would be a welcome addition to even the most discriminating Bibliophiles assemblage. We are grateful for your patronage. Thank you. Sincerely, The Mac’s Picks family
