Third edition, revised and corrected, of this charming educational work on physical geography, structured as a dialogue between a mother and her children. The first edition was published in 1838.Marcet (1769-1858) established the Conversations series in 1806 with Conversations on Chemistry, one of the first elementary science textbooks. Its success led to the publication of several more popular educational works, including Conversations on Political Economy (1816) and Conversations on Natural Philosophy (1819).
