First edition in Japanese, first printing, of this pamphlet summarizing the author's address at the Seventh Biennial Conference of the World Federation of Education Associations held in Tokyo from 1-8 August 1937.Tokyo hosted 900 delegates from around the world, with the author and other educators speaking to subject-specific audiences in between keynote addresses. The conference aimed to strengthen international co-operation but also witnessed sparring over Japan's actions in China.Dr Julia M. Shipman was an American geographer who taught at Mount Holyoke College in the 1930s.
