This is the massive folio atlas volume (approx. 14" x 20"), containing 126 full-size facsimile map plates, including William Clark's original route maps of the expedition alongside earlier maps that guided the Corps of Discovery. Printed on heavy-weight paper and bound in the publisher's blue cloth with gilt-stamped spine and cover. Issued without a dust jacket, as published. Condition: As new / open-box. Purchased new and opened only to photograph the contents for this listing — otherwise untouched and stored in its original shipping box. Binding tight and square, gilt bright, pages crisp and completely unmarked. You will not find a cleaner copy short of a sealed one.
