GAWSWORTH, John (ed.).

Inquire · Offered by Peter Harrington

The Poets of Eton College (Founded 1440). First edition, extravagantly inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Inscribed for Wilf. Gronow, this 'hack' job of 18 years ago, thoroughly out of perspective (who sees at 26?) and yet, at 39, not utterly declassed, his friend John Gawsworth". The author has also annotated and signed the publisher's advertisement and title page. During the First World War, Wilfred Henry Gronow (1887-1966) served as a second lieutenant in the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
