Up for sale is a highly collectible copy of the U.S. Deluxe Hardcover Edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This is a true First Printing, verified by the complete 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 number line on the copyright page.Because this is a true first state copy, it contains the rare original typographical errors on pages 10, 100, 103, and 269 (including the famous error stating Hermione received eleven "Outstanding" O.W.L.s instead of ten) which were corrected in later printings. Page 10: Features the typo "site" instead of the correct word "sight" (in the phrase "the site therefore a fudge stepping out of the fire once more"). Page 100: States that a character has "eleven outstanding O.W.L.s" instead of the correct number, ten. Page 103: Mentions "10 outstandings," which was altered to nine in later corrected printings Page 269: Originally read "Dumbledore drew up the hard wooden chair," which was simplified to "a wooden chair" later. Lists "twenty-four hours' worth," which was changed to "twelve hours' worth" in subsequent runs. Pages 591–592: Contains a completely revised dialogue/paragraph exchange during Dumbledore's Astronomy Tower confrontation where he attempts to persuade Draco Malfoy to switch sides Total Page Count: The initial misprinted U.S. first edition block ends abruptly on page 652 instead of the later corrected pagination length of 672 pages.
