Complete 2-volume set of History of New York During the Revolutionary War and of the Leading Events in the Other Colonies at That Period by Thomas Jones, edited by Edward Floyd De Lancey. New York Times & Arno Press, 1968, an unabridged reprint of the 1879 New-York Historical Society edition. Part of the Eyewitness Accounts of the American Revolution series, with contemporary documents, portraits and maps, including the impressive large folding map shown. Jones, a New York Loyalist and former provincial Supreme Court justice, presents the Revolution from a strongly Loyalist perspective, making this an important source for colonial and Revolutionary New York history. Both volumes bear the ownership signature of historian Robert A. East, whose scholarship included American Loyalism and Revolutionary-era history, adding relevant association interest.
