Incredibly Rare! This volume was imprinted in 5000 numbered copies by Arti Grafiche A. Pizzi under the direction of Franco Maria Ricci in Milan in November 1983. Of this edition, 3000 copies were reserved for Ceramiche Piemme di Maranello. The characters used are Bodoni. The hand-laid paper was made using a round mould at the Cartiere Miliani di Fabriano. This copy is number. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original beautiful black box, gilt title and author lettering to the spine, colour onlay and gilt lettering to the front cover. Folio 12'' x 12''. The handmade paper has been specially made at Fabriano in the pietro Miliani papermill. Contains 222 printed pages of English and Italian text with stunning full-page tipped-in colour plates, smaller tipped-in colour plates throughout, full-page colour photographs on black coated paper, tipped-in colour colophon. Number 2416 of 3000 Limited Edition copies ever created. Loosely inserted is a 'Controllato, Checked, Controlé' card. Fine condition book in Fine condition matching black clamshell box with paper title label to the spine of the box. Production: It is a high-quality, limited edition volume, often numbered out of 3,000 copies, with features like handmade paper, full-page tipped-in color plates, and black silk covers with gilt lettering.
