Vintage 1971 WE Inc. hardcover reprint of the Illustrated Catalogue of United States Cartridge Company's Collection of Firearms, originally published circa 1903. Bibliographic records confirm the WE Inc. 1971 edition; the original catalog contained 140 pages of illustrated firearms material. An extensive reference covering the historic U.S. Cartridge Company firearms collection, including early crossbows and matchlocks, flintlocks, Revolutionary War arms, Civil War muskets and carbines, Confederate firearms, repeating and revolving rifles, pistols, military arms and rare cannon. Of particular historical interest is the section devoted to Indian rifles associated with the aftermath of the Battle of the Little Bighorn/Custer Massacre, along with extensive Civil War and U.S. military firearms material. The original catalog is preserved by the Library of Congress. Gray cloth hardcover with gilt/brown spine lettering. This copy is in very nice vintage condition overall with light exterior shelf/storage wear. Pages appear clean and well preserved. No dust jacket present. Please see photos for exact condition.
