First English edition, first impression. Greene’s poignant novel follows a stranger who arrives at a Leper Colony. After being labelled as a ‘burnt-out case’, he begins to forge connections with those around him, and slowly begins to heal. The UK edition was preceded by the Swedish translation published by P.A.
