ROMOLI, Filipo (1901-1969). Grand Hotel Savoy, Cortina D'Ampezzo Dolomiti. Original hotel luggage label, c.1925. 85 x 115 mm. The hotel was constructed in 1912 in the Art Nouveau style. Its opening coincided with Cortina D'Ampezzo's growing popularity as a destination for Winter sports. By the 1950's, Cortina and the hotel experienced a boom, becoming a favoured destination for stars like Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, and Brigitte Bardot.
