ANON. The Great Eastern Hotel Shanghai. Original hotel luggage label, c.1934. 155 x 105 mm. The hotel opened in 1918. It was designed by Palmer and Turner, a leading architectural firm which had already designed nine of the twenty three waterfront buildings on the bund. The hotel included the wing on department store. This label shows the new nineteen floor wing on department store, left of the original 1918 building which was built in 1932. SKU: 2123776
