First Edition; HCDJ; dust jacket not clipped; not an ex-library book, 308 pages long. A rare copy of the first hand account of an epic adventure by car through Europe by a retired British army officer and a representative of a British automobile association. Etherton and Dunscombe Allen used a Vauxhall 20-60 over two months to travel through 1920s Netherlands, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Old Bohemia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Dalmatia and the Balkans. Their account captures the adventure and presents a wonderful cache of original photographs of key milestones, places and people along their route. Book is in good condition. Binding firm, foxing/spotting present through out pages and covers. Dust jacket has red stains on top/bottom right corners along with wear/tear on top and bottom of spine; also has price sticker taped on back cover. Please view photos carefully.
