NOTE THIS IS NOT THE MORE COMMON 2ND PRINTING THAT ONLY HAS A 10 - 2 NUMBERLINE (BUT WHICH ALSO SAYS "FIRST PRINTING OCTOBER, 1988" ON THE COPYRIGHT PAGE), NOR IS THIS BOOK THE UNPRICED BOOK CLUB EDITION. THIS IS A LARGE FORMAT HARDCOVER (SIZE AND WEIGHT OF A COFFEE-TABLE BOOK). THE ARTIST PHIL PARKS PREPARED (IT WAS EITHER 10 OR 12) EDITIONS OF THIS BOOK ALL CONTAINING ORIGINAL COLORED DRAWINGS OF THE MAJOR CHARACTERS FROM THE BOOK ON THE FIRST BLANK PAGE FOLLOWING THE TITLE PAGE (I.E. THE POST-TITLE PAGE). IN ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL DRAWING, PHIL PARKS PROVIDED A SHORT INSCRIPTION WITH HIS DATED SIGNATURE, AND DEAN KOONTZ ALSO PROVIDED A SHORT INSCRIPTION WITH HIS DATED SIGNATURE. Book is unread with pages that are white with sharp corners, no creased page corners, nice tight spine with no spine lean, no internal hinge splits or glue tearing at internal spine creases (common defect with this book because its so heavy it puts a lot of strain on the hinge), no former owner's markings or used bookstore stamps/stickers inside, no scotch tape marks or other discoloration to endpapers, no wear to board edges or corners or spine tips, very very tiny bump to top right board corne
