Carter Carburetor Corporation — Service Manual and Specification Sheet Binder, 1933 to 1951 This is a working carburetor man's binder, and there is not much like it. Carter Carburetor Corporation of St. Louis supplied its dealers with loose-leaf specification sheets and mailed out replacements as models changed, so a shop's binder grew year by year into a record of what came through the door. This one spans roughly 1933 to 1951 and runs to hundreds of sheets: passenger cars, trucks and industrial equipment, with Buick, Cadillac, Auburn, Nash, Packard, Willys, International trucks and a Cleveland fork lift all represented, plus Carter Electric Pusher Pump specifications, a Carter Carburetor Index and Price List, and a run of wartime and military listings including M5 and M8 carburetors, the LVT Mark 3 and the T-24. One competitor sheet, a Stromberg AAV-26 for a 1942 Cadillac, sits in there too, which is exactly the sort of thing a real shop binder accumulates. The binder itself is a Buchan Style R-L Roller-Lok catalog binder. Its condition is rough and fully described below — this is bought for the paper inside it. 📚 Book Details ✍️ Issued by: Carter Carburetor Corporation (no individual author credited) 🏢 Publisher: Carter Carburetor Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri 📅 Year: Binder carries a 1938 copyright; the specification sheets inside are individually dated and run from 1933 to September 1951 📄 Format: Hardcover loose-leaf binder, hundreds of specification sheets, Buch
