Format: Three softcover quarto books with illustrated card wrappers, 50pp each, 27.6 x 23cm. Rookie was an American online magazine created in 2011 by Tavi Gevinson, then only 15 years old. It was aimed specifically at teenage girls, with themed editorial issues and content ranging from celebrity interviews, photo journals, collages, Q&As, beauty tutorials, and comics. Rookie had a zine-like spirit for teenage girls, and its contributors such as Petra Collins and Gevinson herself have remained media main-stays of their generation. These yearbooks feature interviews with Carrie Brownstein, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna, Donna Tartt, Molly Ringwald, and Daniel Clowes. Fashion features were often shot by Petra Collins, one features actress Anya Taylor-Joy. All three volumes contain their full sticker sheets and inserts, such as the tarot deck, die-cut flower crown, and Dum Dum Girls flexidisc. Minor creases and bumping, some rubbing to edges, slight paper loss to lower spine vol. 3.
