75. First edition, number 33 of 100 copies signed by Christo, with a signed and matching numbered photographic print with hand-applied paint mounted on heavy card, sheet size 44 x 33 cm. The total edition of the book was 1,510. Part biography, part critical analysis, part catalogue, this comprehensive overview of all Christo and Jeanne-Claude's projects up to 2010 was designed by Christo himself. Conceived originally to mark Christo and Jeanne-Claude's 75th birthdays, it features hundreds of previously unpublished photographs, drawings, and plans, a detailed history, and in-depth interviews, including Jeanne-Claude's final public conversation about her work (she died in 2009, a year before publication). The duo is perhaps best remembered for wrapping architecture and natural elements in fabric, such as the Arc de Triomphe in Paris or the Gates in New York's Central Park.
