Signed limited edition, number 9 of 100 copies signed by Fowles and Brukoff, also inscribed by Brukoff on the limitation page, "To Jim Silberman, with admiration and affection, Barry". An original colour photograph signed by Brukoff is loosely inserted. The authors described Silberman, a publisher whose clients included James Baldwin, Hunter S. Thompson, and Elie Wiesel, as an inspiration for the book.This extended personal essay and historical overview of Stonehenge by the acclaimed novelist Fowles is complimented by Brukoff's atmospheric and richly saturated photographs. It "is as much about perceptions of Stonehenge as it is about the physical monument itself" (Fort Worth Star-Telegram).Loosely inserted is the bookplate of Silberman (1927-2020) and Selma Shapiro (b. 1937), a former PR executive at Random House.
