A handsome 3-volume vintage Gourmet cookbook set from Gourmet: The Magazine of Good Living, consisting of The Gourmet Cookbook Volume I, Volume II, and Gourmet’s Menu Cookbook. The Gourmet Cookbook was originally compiled and edited in 1950, with the copy shown identified as the 14th printing, March 1962. Gourmet’s Menu Cookbook is compiled and edited 1963. These substantial volumes contain an extensive collection of classic recipes, menus, entertaining ideas, and international cuisine, accompanied by decorative illustrations and color food photography. All three feature attractive leather-textured hardcover bindings with elaborate gilt decoration. Volumes I and II are matching burgundy, while the Menu Cookbook is black with coordinating gilt designs. The decorative bindings make the set especially attractive displayed together. Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age and shelf wear visible to the covers, edges, and gilt decoration. Interior pages show normal age toning.
