First edition, signed by the author in her distinctive purple ink on verso of half title, number 154 of 800 copies, from a total edition of 861; small royal 8vo; illustrated with 7 plates, slight offsetting to some endpapers from binding, faint mark to half-title, small mark to p117, small mark to edge of p327, otherwise very good internal condition; modern full red morocco by Sangorski Sutcliffe, one-line gilt-panelled border, spine in 6 compartments panelled and lettered in gilt, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, slight signs of wear to extremities, light fading to spine, a fine and attractive copy; [v], 333pp, [3]pp. Kirkpatrick A11.
