This is the first edition and first printing, dated July 1996. The book examines the solo film careers of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy apart from their famous work as a comedy team. It includes detailed film information, studio references, appendices, and a title index. A handwritten signature on the front endpaper appears to be that of author Rob Stone, but the signature cannot be authenticated. The writing appears reversed in orientation on the page, and the reason for this is unknown. A foreword is provided by Randy Skretvedt. Condition: Dust jacket has light surface rubbing and light wear along the upper edge.
