First edition, first printing, presentation copy, inscribed and signed on title-page. This copy was inscribed to Jan Morris' neighbours. 'The couple were called Janet and Bernard Owens, and lived in Criccieth so they were neighbours of Jan's and, I think, well known to her' (Paul Clements, the biographer of Jan Morris, via email).
