What is Theosophy? First edition of this accessible guide. It is dedicated to the author's son, "whose oft-repeated question, 'What is Theosophy?', has been the occasion of my attempt to put this great matter into little words".Although anonymous, the work has been attributed to Patience Edensor Sinnett (d. 1908), who wrote several other introductory pamphlets on the subject. Sinnett was a close friend of Helena Blavatsky and the wife of Alred Percy Sinnnett, who wrote The Occult World (1881). She lived in India, where her husband was editor of the Anglo-Indian paper, The Pioneer.
