Bumble Bugs and Elephants. First edition, first printing. Margaret Wise Brown (1910-1952) was one the most notable American children's authors of the late 1930s and 1940s. Clement Hurd (1908-1988) provided the illustrations for seven of her books. The work was republished in 2006 with new illustrations by Hurd's son.
