Le Livre des ballades. First and limited edition in French of Some British Ballads (1919), number 633 of 1,300 copies; there are additional black and white vignettes by Rackham included in this edition. The French symbolist poet Paul Fort translated the original work and added "some completely different ballads" (Riall), drawing on what would become his monumental 40-volume Les Ballades françaises (1896-1958).
