BURKHARDT, Klaus. future 2: coldtypestructure. Stuttgart: Edition Hansjörg Mayer. 1965. Folded broadside with letters printed in black to recto side only; text in German; fine. Hansjörg Mayer was one of the most influential actors of concrete poetry and the expeirmental typography of the 1960s. Issue no. 2 in the ‘futura’ folded broadside series, which was published by Hansjörg Mayer between 1965 – 1968, features a large-scale concrete poem by Burkhardt comprised of overlapping letter structures. The recto side of this folded broadside features a biography of the artist and a postscript by the German scholar and author Reinhard Döhl . In his postscript, Döhl refers to the broadside as an enlightening "map" in the genre of Concrete Poetry. SKU: 2121909
