DUE TO THE FAIRLY RADICAL CHANGE FROM FLEMING'S ORIGINAL STORY, JONATHAN CAPE HIRED THE MOVIE SCREENWRITER TO ADAPT HIS SCREENPLAY INTO A NOVEL, IT WAS ONLY SOLD IN HARDCOVER IN THE U.K. AND MOST COPIES WENT TO LIBRARIES, MAKING THIS A VERY DIFFICULT BOOK TO FIND. Book has several creased page corners, hint of age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges (no foxing), no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps/stickers inside, generally clean endpapers with no scotch tape marks or significant discoloration, no internal hinge splitting, no wear to board edges, corners or spine tips (shelf rubbing to spine tips only), no bumped board corner, no soiling/markings to boards, no wear/oxidizing to gilt spine lettering. Dust Jacket has no chipping, tearing or creasing, virtually no wear to spine tips, no wear to front flap crease (just at flap crease corners), no wear to left/right on spine, no edge wear, no spine sun fading, no foxing to panels or spine, no dust rubbing to panels or spine, tiny discoloration spot on spine otherwise no soiling/staining to panels or spine. Overall a VG+/FINE- book in VG+/FINE- condition dust jack
