Maurice Warshaw founder of Grand Central, Inc., was an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and humanitarian. Born in 1898 in Dubossar, southern Ukraine, Russia, the son of a prosperous Jewish food broker and community leader, Maurice was named Samuel Warshawsky at birth. The Grand Central chain of discount department stores had stores in Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada. This Book is in Very Good condition. The cover has a bit of fading or yellowing at the top edge (from cigarette smoke - see photos). The interior of the book is bright and clean but does have slight yellowing at the edges of the pages (from cigarette smoke - see photos). There are no markings of any kind in this Book except for those put there by the Author. The Dust Jacket is in Poor condition and has yellowing (from cigarette smoke - see photos).
